Carbon neutral and energy efficient
The German Furniture Quality Association (Deutsche Gutegemeinschaft Mobel e.V.) (DGM) has certified our furniture supplier, Häcker, as a climate neutral company.
Any emissions not reduced though efficiencies within the factory are offset via the purchase of climate protection certificates. These currently include a reforestation project in Uruguay, a wind power project in India and a hydropower project in Mali.

Energy efficient appliances
“The vast majority of the appliances we supply are energy rated as A or above, all the cabinet lights we supply use low-energy LED bulbs and we have low water use dishwashers and taps available.”
MATERIALS
Sustainably sourced timber
Häcker has certification from the PEFC council, which guarantees that all wood and paper products come from sustainably managed forests. This has been in place since 2011.
All wooden fitted kitchens supplied by Tradex Kitchens comply with the high US-American standards regarding permissible formaldehyde threshold values and at the same time, they exceed the European specifications.
